The Game How to play It is very easy to play Museum Pictoris®. The players have to collect, buy and sell the paintings in order to be recognized as the best collectors by The Great Museum. The players throw the dice to move around the board.
When a player lands on an "Art Gallery" she or he has the chance to buy a painting.
If the player buys the painting, it immediately goes to his/her own private collection.
Rejected paintings go directly to the "Black Market".
"Black Market" squares are the most sought after because here paintings are sold at half price.
The Great Museum buys a painting from the players each time a player lands on or passes by The Great Museum square.
The Great Museum will buy the most expensive painting among those offered by the players. In this example The Great Museum has requested a baroque painting. The winner is "Girl with a pearl earring", by Jan Vermeer.
This painting then goes to The Great Museum...
